Welcome to our series on equine feed formulation. In this first part, we'll discuss the first step in formulating any feed, determining the nutrient requirements of the class of horse for which it will be intended.

In the second part of our series on feed formulation, we'll look at the regional differences that occur in horse feeds. These differences can occur due to differences in available ingredients as well as from the preferences of horse owners in different areas.

The third installment in our series on feed formulation, we'll talk about a multitude of ingredients that are commonly used in horse feeds. 

The last installment in our series on feed formulation is devoted to tools that KER has developed to help feed manufacturers make better feed. KER has quite a long history of developing digital technologies to improve the way we can feed and manage horses.
